My Film Showreel is comprised of three short trailers from a few of my favourite films including sequences from A Cut Above, Spoonmaker and Peach Fuzz. I chose to let these play out in isolation to give you a sense of the tone and emotions in the films.
(Expository/Poetic)
This documentary short is about the social implications of female body hair on the female experience and the double standards that exist for men and women.
This documentary delves into the inbuilt misogyny in society in regard to The Pink Tax and how body hair can be detrimental to the success of female dancers.
(Expository/Poetic)
A documentary exploring the social construct of virginity, and the potentially harmful effect it can have on teenagers and young adults.
The above video is our Kickstarter promotion video that I edited for SEX (Now I have your attention).
I have worked as the editor and Assistant Director on several videos for The Lewis Nicholls Show, a web series in which the host, Lewis Nicholls, interviews celebrity guests about their careers and personal life. The episodes I have worked on feature celebrities such as Tony Hadley, Shaun Pelayo and Ricci Guarnaccio.
(Comedy/Horror)
A content ‘loser’ starts a new office job, where she must join a cult-like cooking class to fit in with her colleague’s clique – only to learn that being different is better than being eaten alive.
(Period drama)
A Spoonmaker's life changes forever when he signs up to fight in the first world war, and he makes an ill-timed decision which will riddle him with a lifetime of guilt and grief.
(Experimental short)
An actor performs monologues that adhere to the expectations of the female experience such as 'lover' 'mother' and 'wise woman'. This unsettling experimental film explores the reality of being a woman and the pressures to adhere to performative gender norms.
